What Would Be Said At Your Funeral

Posted: July 22, 2015 by Jaime Stenning

I’ve just presented to a rather prestigious room full of successful entrepreneurs.

I talked about what people might say about you at your funeral. And whether you would feel happy with what was said.

A really electric session. You could see that everyone was thinking… hard.

Thought for the day

  • What would people say about you at your funeral if it happened right now?
  • Would you like what you hear or would you hope they would say something different/better more honest about you?

The point is that what you hear as you play out the speeches in your head (“worked too hard”, “could’ve spent more time with the kids”, lost the pot about money”) will simply be a consequence of how you have been living your life.

So, if you want to know how to live your life and what you need to prioritise, then write what it is that you would want people to say about you at your funeral.
