Reputation
Reputation is the general opinion (more technically, a social evaluation) of the public toward a person, a group of people, or an organisation.
So how can we demonstrate or prove our reputation?
I suppose the answer is that you need to talk to other people about us.
You need to talk to people who have worked with us in one form or another (workshops, seminars, articles, websites) and you need to talk to people who have bought our products and services (books, workbooks, coaching, consultancy).
More importantly, you need to talk to people who have taken our ideas and applied them to their businesses - because it doesn't matter how well we sell ourselves (or how often) unless what we tell people actually works.
To that end you can see what our clients say about us in the form of testimonials but you would only expect to see positive testimonials on a website.
To get a handle on our reputation you need to look for unsolicited evidence of what people think and say and sometimes the best way to find out what people think is to see what they say and do when they are talking without an axe to grind...
If you go to google you will find 1,440 listings with the exact phrase "the directors' centre".

and what do they say about us behind our back?
Robert's testimonial quotations refer to the work he did with The Directors' Centre...: 'the entrepreneurship guru' (The Financial Times) 'one of the UK's leading marketing experts', 'a modern day John Harvey Jones' (Colin Barrow, Cranfield School of Management, and so on and on and on.
'So what?' you ask...
where have we been published/talked about?
- Sunday Times, One Vision, Istaris, Gateway Magazine, Personnel Today, InsightExec, Professional Consultancy - IMC Magazine, Better Business Bookshelf, South African Entrepreneur, Financial Times, Networking for Success, as well as numerous other places.
- UK and European banks, UK national accounting firms, business support agencies, and several UK universities use healthcheck and diagnostic tools as well as business growth workbooks and packages exclusively developed under licence exclusively by The Directors' Centre team (because they work)
- Robert's books have been published legally in UK, Spain, Brazil, India, Bulgaria, Australia, USA and China - and they have been published illegally(!) in Turkey (a land of great entrepreneurship!)
A word of warning! One university professor actually lost his job because he copied rather a lot of Robert's materials (and claimed that it was his own) so when the university was made aware of this... you can figure out the rest..
'So what?' you ask.
So What?
The original purpose of the page was to demonstrate our reputation.
Providing a long list of people who quote or use our tools seems, to us, to insult your intelligence - we know that you know that that we are only going to quote our ambassadors and friends!
So, at the end of the day, you need to go out for yourself and ask people you know and respect about the work that we do.
And if it's good enough for the FT, The Independent, Institute of Management Consultants, Barclays, Airbus, London Business School and Sir Richard Branson... then maybe it is good enough for you...? Do talk to us!
